The State Library digs on Graphic Novels

We are working with The State Library of Tasmania to bring you GRAPHIC NOVELS!
They are planning drawing workshops, exhibitions, talks, and a great selection of graphic novels to get your nose into!

Some of our favourite graphic novels include:
watchmen
The Watchmen by Alan Moore - we LOVE anything by Alan Moore, because he is a serpent-god worshipping velvet suit wearing long-haired GENIUS, but Watchmen will blow your face off. Its brilliant.
Also by Alan Moore: The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (1&2), From Hell, Swamp Thing, Promethea...

filth
The Filth by Grant Morrison.
Grant Morrison is so rad, his pants would take you into space to meet cool green dudes from another universe, and then take you all out for drinks. He started out writing for Marvel AND DC (for such heroes as Superman and Batman) then turned his hand to his own twisted and inventive tales.
Also see The Invisibles, Animal Man, Seaguy, Kid Eternity, The Mystery Play, We3 and anything else you can get your hands on.
I'd hurt nannas to meet Mr Morrison. He is radder than rad.

preacher
Preacher: Gone to Texas by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon.

johnny
Johnny the Homicidal Maniac by Jhonen Vasquez.
Also check out Squee and Jellyfist by Vasquez for some more creepy bizzare adventures.
